Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 large onion, cut into rings
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cold beer
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup yellow mustard
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Lettuce and tomato slices for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat
Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then form it into 4 equal-sized patties
Grill the burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or to your desired level of doneness
During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese to each burger and cover the grill to melt the cheese
While the burgers are cooking, prepare the onion rings
In a bowl, combine the flour and cold beer to make a batter
Dip the onion rings into the batter, then heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350F 175C
Fry the battered onion rings until they are golden brown and crispy, then remove and drain on paper towels
In a small saucepan, combine the Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce is heated through and well combined
Remove from heat
To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf and tomato slice on the bottom half of each bun
Top with a cooked burger patty and a generous drizzle of the Mustard Beer Sauce
Add a handful of crispy onion rings on top of the sauce, then place the other half of the bun on top
Serve your Juicy Ball Park Burger with Onion Rings and Mustard Beer Sauce immediately, and enjoy!
